A Little About Why I'm Here!

So I wanted to make a blog page about my journey to get down to 130 pounds. Belhold yes it has been done before but with me the weight always finds it's way back to my center core. So with this blog I'm hoping to get myself inspired and share my story with others. I'll keep a food journal here as well as an exercise blog to go hand in hand with each other.

Today was day 1 at home and we've (my fiancee Dave) and I have been getting up all this week at 6:45ish to get ourselves ready for a morning workout. You see with us it's always get up at the last minute throw some clothes on, run a brush through the hair and out to the car and off to work. When I get there I sometimes will carry my toothbrush and face cleaning supplies and hit up the washroom. Now seriously these things should be done at home!! I know I know but getting into a routine like this for months is hard to train yourself otherwise...BUT we've been doing great all week with the early rising! Hopefully it'll stay this way because I'd much rather work out in the mornings. More energy for the day as well as a great way to start the day mentally and physically!

We have our gym set up in the solarium/breakfast nook at the front of our house. We have a lot of space there which we have recently placed our beloved bowflex, (my saviour) the tredmill, a stationary bike as well as a free weight bench with free weights that Dave uses. I also have in there my yoga ball and some small free weights as well as a stepper. So we have all the tools needed, lets just pray I can get on and stay on a routine! *Crossing Fingers*

This morning was Chest day. I started on the bike and did 12 minutes of biking then proceeded ova to the Bowflex and did 3 sets of 10 reps each for 3 parts of my chest. OUF sounds like a lot but it wasn't that bad. My shoulders have lost muscle memory so I mostly felt it in the shoulders today. In a few weeks things should level out and my muscles will be prime for workin! After I did my chest exercises I did about 10 minutes on the tredmill while Dave was in the shower.

For me Cardio is my weakness, I can't get focused enough to do longer bouts. See today I should have done 30-45 minutes. But hey It was a start so here will be my first goal of the week, INCREASE CARDIO DURATION! Since I have 2 machines I should be able to get out some good numbers for the remaining rest of the week and the starting of next. Hopefully the more I do the easier it becomes!! See I like outdoor fitness, I'd kill for an even road so I can rollerblade in the summer. However we just moved out towards the country and the roads there reallllly suck so I'm stuck walking/running or biking.. These are great too but nothing beats my blades. HAWT DAMN I get in shape with those lil devils! haha!

So there you have it, Day 1 in all its glory... well I guess not completely cause it's only 10:30am in the morning but all I need to do now Is eat healthy all day, consume a lot of water and drink down this green tea I have sitting here! Maybe if I'm lucky I can squeeze some cardio in tonight after work.... hmmm I think its a plan!!!
